Tavern Series

Wigglesworth’s Tavern (Dark Mild) is fairly dark in color, but surprisingly light and refreshing, hence the name Dark Mild.

Penny’s Tavern (Red Ale) is a malty, approachable ale with light hop characteristics.

Boswell’s Tavern (Very Special Bitter) is our take on a traditional ESB, or extra special bitter. Malt and hop characteristics are well-balanced here, and this has been a crowd favorite since opening day!  VA Craft Brewers Guild 2022 Gold Medal.

Mudd’s Tavern (Dry Stout) is dark in color, but one of our lower ABV beers. It offers roast characteristics with low bitterness.

Double Outage (Barrel -aged Imperial Stout) is a strong rich ale that feature the darkest roasts to present bold flavors of chocolate and light coffee. Barrel aging brings with it the whiskey aroma and dashes of vanilla and leather.  This one will dim the lights.

Hop-Balanced

Our  New Bridge Blonde Ale  has a light, refreshing, crisp citrus finish and has a low ABV %.

Lively (Pale Ale) is a malty selection with the perfect level of hop bitterness, and has also been a crowd favorite. It sold out on Opening Day!  Returning Soon!

Local Favorites

Contrary Creek Gold (Golden Ale) was named for the creek that runs along one side of the property, where hopeful prospectors still pan for gold! Mineral was given its name due to the many gold mines in the immediate area, and this beer is a nod to the local history. The beer itself is a full-bodied golden ale with a slightly higher ABV %.

Swim Advisory (Juicy IPA) is a hazy New England style IPA with tropical fruit notes and well-balanced hops.

IPAtope- West coast style.  Piney, citrus , and a touch of tropical with noticeable bitterness

Our Wheat Beer  is a rotating special beer featuring regional styles from Belgium, Germany,  and good Ole USA.  Perfect for summer, with light, fruity esters and a style specific spice and yeast character. Try one and explore the different takes on the wheat beer theme.

Lights and Lagers

Fools Gold – A great summertime refresher. Not your fathers Cream Ale.

LKA Pils – traditional German style Pils using European malts, yeast and hops.  Crisp finish with a note of orange peel.

Closest Thang- our take on that mass produced light beer we so often get asked about. “What’s the closest you got to a ______light?”

Vienna Lager- This lager is a perennial favorite. Nice malty caramel body with a balanced hop finish.
